There are a lot of great free reports out there on the net and it’s always fun to come across one with real value and specific strategies that help us in our business. However, we really do have to filter through them to find the ones that are truly valuable and have information we can apply. Jim’s free report just happens to be one of them! Hi Peter,

Interesting post. Some free reports grab my attention because they do offer something of value in and of themselves. And some free reports – even ones that are just obviously sales pages still grab my attention because the information promised is something so on the mark for what I’m looking for. And some reports that are valuable in and of themselves don’t grab me because it isn’t information I need at the time. I don’t expect free reports to give away a ton in and of themselves, so what seems to capture my attention more than that is how likely it seems from the report that I’ll get the information I need from the product they’re selling. But I take your point – some stuff is so fluffy and so hype-y it just makes you want to puke – and that does definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth – Rob
